I’ve found that learning about health (particularly on the internet) is fascinating. It seems that the more you find out about the choices you can make, the more products and services there are out there to help you. I love helping others empower themselves on things that help to make a huge difference in the quality of their life. What’s got me hooked right now is the healing properties of Essential Oils, specifically therapeutic-grade oils by Young Living.

This page is long and before you start skimming it to discover what this is all about I want to tell you something very interesting…If you were starting a household from scratch and needed to go out and purchase cleaning products, laundry products, personal care products, over the counter medications, etc. – it would cost you over $1,500. If you were to do the same thing but this time purchase Young Living products instead, it would cost just under $500. That’s a huge difference!The reason why it’s so much less is because these products are very concentrated and are used in much smaller amounts. Many oils have dozens if not hundreds of practical uses. A 15 ml bottle has about 180 drops of essential oil in it – it goes a very long way!

Here’s an example of one of my favorite multipurpose oils: Young Living’s Peppermint!
Here are my top uses for Peppermint: instant tea on the go-a drop in a mug of hot water, a drop in a glass of water as a digestive aid, in a spray bottle to freshen and enliven the air, a couple drops on a damp wash cloth to cool a feverish child, in my cold-air diffuser to remove unwanted air-borne particles and cat box odors, a drop in my kitchen cabinets to scare the ants away, a drop mixed with carrier oil on my sore muscles, a drop rubbed on my temples and the back of my neck when I have a headache (this is also a great party trick-people don’t believe it will work, but it always does), a drop on the soles the feet to bring down a fever, or inhaled when I feel sluggish and tired at a class or while driving.

Another Disclaimer: DO NOT attempt to use a store bought essential oil in these ways, they are NOT pure and you may get sick – yes, that includes essential oils sold at health food stores!

Just that one essential oil alone, I can use in more than 10 different ways – that means I’m buying “one” item that takes the place of at least 10 others that I would normally have to go out and buy if I didn’t know I could use therapeutic-grade Peppermint in those ways. It also means I have a lot more space in my cabinets.

A bottle of peppermint costs me $19.75 wholesale (you can get wholesale pricing too, if you like).

If I went out and bought products in the store, I’d be looking at over $100 worth of different items, even if I bought the cheap brands (which are VERY toxic).

Yes, there is a learning curve. This is why when anyone wants to buy Young Living products they must have a “sponsor.” The sponsor helps the new member learn how to use the essential oils and products properly so the experience and benefits are maximized.
